What is the difference between ServSafe Manager
& Foodhandlers Certification?
The ServSafe® Food Manager Certification is a nationally accredited program accepted by health departments nationwide. The program blends the latest FDA Food Code, food safety research and years of food sanitation training experience and is the only certification recognized by your Local Regulatory Authority.
ServSafe Food Handlers Certification does not require a proctor and is not recognized by the Health Department as a valid certification. MyFoodSafety has partnered with ServSafe® to offer you the Food Manager Certification Exam, as well as various training packages to meet your needs.
How long is the Food Manager Certification valid for?
The ServSafe® Food Manager Certification is valid for 5 years, but this may vary depending on the state and/or local jurisdiction.
Our total class & exam time is 4 hours but could take less depending on your preparation leading up to the exam. Unlike previous versions of the ServSafe® Class, we strive to be convenient and thorough by sending you extensive & interactive review material leading up to your class. Immediately following our class, you will take the online examination with a proctor in person, and receive your certification immediately upon passing.

What do I need to bring with me?
You must receive a 75% or higher to become certified. The exam is 90 questions, with 10 questions
used as testing "hybrid", which mean they will not count against the passing grade needed.
You will need a valid photo I.D. along with a fully charged Laptop in order to take the online exam.
What is the passing score for the exam?

Does MyFoodSafety offer group or company discounts?
Yes! If your company requires several certifications, please fill out the form here to register for a private class at your location (5 or more students required) and qualify for group & company discounts
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be received 7 days prior to the class date to receive a 50% refund or full credit towards a future class. Credits are honored up to 6 months from date of registration.

In some instances, due to limited enrollment or circumstances beyond our control, we may need to reschedule the class. We will inform you within 24-48 hrs prior to the scheduled class date.
